The 2011 Hyundai Sonata already outselling the competition

Sept. 29, 2010 - PRLog -- Edmond Hyundai is proud of the 2011 Hyundai Sonata. This baby has been outselling the competition since the release a few months ago. Hyundai Motor America had to increase production because the all-new Sonata has been selling so well.

As sales have risen, the Sonata has pulled ahead of the competition. According to the
Hyundai Blog, August sales have shown that the Sonata sales totaled 21,399 units overtaking the US’ third-best selling vehicle in the mid-size sedan segment, the 2011 Nissan Altima.

Also in the report, the Sonata has outsold the Ford Fusion and the Chevrolet Malibu for the past six months. Although the Hyundai Sonata is doing well for itself, it will probably take awhile to outsell the top selling mid-size sedan in the United States: the Toyota Camry.

However, based on sales records, the Sonata and the Honda Accord (the second top selling mid-size sedan in the US) are almost tied up. In August 2010, Honda sold 22,506 Accords across the nation.

The 2011 Sonata represents a modern approach to the traditional midsize sedan segment by using only advanced four-cylinder engines, emotional design and luxury features offered with Hyundai’s strong value proposition.

The finish line is far off, but it is clear that the 2011 Hyundai Sonata is in the competition and not going anywhere. It will be a fight to the finish, but Edmond Hyundai has high hopes for the Sonata and the Sonata Hybrid.
