Follow on Google News | ![]() Junior League of Reno is Accepting Proposals for Community Program GrantsJunior League of Reno is accepting proposals from qualified community programs for small grants. Eligible programs must focus on women and chilren and have 501(c)(3) status. Call 775-826-0445 for applications and additional information.
Grants will be awarded through the League’s Community Enrichment Fund, which was established by Junior League to provide funds to support community programs that fall within the focus area of the League, that of women and children. Past recipients of these grants included Nevada Diabetes Association for Camp Buck, Food Bank of Northern Nevada for Kids Café, Canine Officer Program of Washoe County School District, and SMART Girls Program of Boys & Girls Club of Truckee Meadows. To be eligible for funding, applicants must show the benefit of their program to women and children and have tax-exempt status under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. A maximum of $10,000 will be awarded through the Community Enrichment Fund in the form of small grants. Applications are currently available and must be postmarked no later than November 1, 2010 to be eligible.
