His success did not come without hardship. Growing up in a tough neighborhood and spending a year living out of his car, the University of Arkansas graduate had his fair share of struggles. Perhaps those struggles are what motivated Big Tuck to become the talented artist he is today, schooling other up and coming artists how to beat the game and be successful in the industry. Defeating his circumstances, his life soon flipped in another direction once under the wing of T-Town Music. As a member of the Dallas home-grown rap group, DSR (Dirty South Ridaz) with T-Town Music, Big Tuck released “Purple Hulk” in 2004, which caught the eyes and ears of Universal Records, who quickly signed the underground phenomenon. Soon the D-Town rapper released “Tha Absolute Truth”, with lead single “Tussle,” becoming a top club anthem encouraging others to overcome struggles in life much like his own. Later, “Not a Stain on Me” was released, leaving his own mark on the hip-hop industry. The versatile artist has a lineup of collaborations featuring Slim Thug, Bun B, Paul Wall, Chamillionaire, Erykah Badu, Play-N-Skillz, Mr. Lee, Big Tyme, and many more. Continuing to represent the South with his grind at top notch, this freight-train of a rapper proceeds to lead the way for fellow Southern artists without an end in sight. On October 5, 2010 Big Tuck will release his newest mix tape featuring his new single, “Can I Get a Witness” backed by JIN Entertainment and available at retailers nationwide.
