Registration Open:MTV’s Swagger Crew Hosts Workshops at Maryland Institute for Dance Nov 6 and 7

Oct. 8, 2010 - PRLog -- (Suitland, Maryland) – Atlanta-based celebrity dance group, The Swagger Crew, from MTV’s fifth season of
America’s Best Dance Crew brings its southern-street style moves to the Maryland Institute for Dance on
November 6 and 7 for two days of high-impact hip-hop, modern and Afro-Caribbean workshops. Maryland
Institute for Dance and Swagger Crew will host several workshops throughout the weekend at Suitland
High School, located at 5200 Silver Hill Road, District Heights, MD 20747.

Saturday, November 6
3 p.m. 5 p.m. Hip Hop and Modern Combo Class ($35)
Hip-Hop ($20) from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Modern ($20) from 4 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Sunday, November 7
Afro-Caribbean ($15) from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The Maryland Institute for Dance is a traveling non-profit dance school created in 2010. Our mission is to artistically transform lives through the discipline of dance. We provide quality dance education to develop outstanding performers emotionally, socially, and intellectually through our affordable programs. The Maryland Institute for Dance (MID) serves diverse students and their families, in addition to emerging artists in Prince George’s County and its surrounding areas.. Students include children ages 3 to 17 and adults who aim to perfect their dance or choreography skills. Classes begin in September 2010.
