Review of Comment Hut

Creating QUALITY backlinks - all pointing to your website or landing page – is important. But how to do determine which blogs or sites are the best to link to? A good old fashioned google search with your page rank tool is effective, but a slow methodical process. You could invest hours, days, weeks, and months researching the best placements for your backlinks.
When employing strategies for our clients at Marketing Media Management, we always research new technology, tools, and software before recommending or using them. One such time-saving product that came onto the market recently is called Comment Hut.
Force5, released Comment Hut lite touting, “gives spiderbots exactly what they want... Incoming Links Pointing at YOUR sites - And the best part is - It's YOURS... 100% FREE!”.
So, we gave the free version a whirl. Did it give us lots of potential backlinking sites to choose from. Yes. Did it whet our appatite to pay $97 for the “pro” version. Sure. We’ll try anything once.
Hence, we paid for our license, downloaded the Comment Hut 0.3.2 version, and started to use it.
We used a couple of different keywords searches such as, toy, kettlebell, and outdoor adventure and chose the option to only return those results that were a at least a page rank of 5.
The program did exactly what it said it would do save one thing. It DID list hundreds of different sites that were titled or contained our keywords. What it DIDN’T do, which was far more valuable to us, was give us ONLY those sites that were rated at least a PR5.
As a matter of fact, we had more than our fair share of PR0 or 1 sites, a small handful of PR3, but no PR5 or higher. Suffice it to say, we were a little disappointed.
Our recommendation: if you are just looking to research possible backlinks to your site and are not concerned with the quality of them, Comment Hut or Comment Hut Lite by Force5 is a great tool. If you are looking to employ backlinks to your site and don’t care what the page rank will be, try a directory submission service such as Directory Maximizer. It will save you time and money.
