Oct. 25, 2010 - PRLog -- Allstate agency owner JoAnne Garrison was recently named an Agent Hero by Allstate Insurance Company’s New York Region, and awarded a $500 grant for a local youth program.

Garrison donated the grant to Troop 40816 of the Hudson Valley Girl Scouts, a group of 10 4th grade girls focused on recycling, going green and saving the planet. The grant will help fund the Troop’s activities such as visiting nursing homes, working in a food pantry and collecting food for animal shelters.

“As an Allstate agent, I believe it is my responsibility to demonstrate the Good Hands Promise in the community every single day,” said Garrison, whose office is located at 241 Route 59 in Suffern. “It is an honor to be able to donate this grant to the Scout Troop and hopefully touch the lives of the girls who are involved.”
