The UCB Theatre Presents Harry Potter and the Weekend of Harry Potter Themed Comedy

Nov. 4, 2010 - PRLog -- The Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre will feature two magical nights of Harry Potter-themed comedy shows to coincide with the release of the movie “Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows.” The weekend features the premiere of The Kirk Cameron Repertory Players Present: A Harry Potter Musical! on Friday, November 19th at Midnight, and then on Saturday, November 20th at Midnight The Hogwarts Improvisation Society presents an evening of fierce improvised competition between the houses of Gryffindor & Slytherin!

The Kirk Cameron Repertory Players Present: A Harry Potter Musical! - The Kirk Cameron Repertory Players will bring their special brand of revisionist artistry to New York's Upright Citizens Brigade on Friday, November 19th at Midnight for one special night of conservative-friendly musical theater. They'll present a much-improved (and correct) version of J.K. Rowling's popular Harry Potter series -- this time, witchcraft is evil and Jesus is good! Because who said God-fearing Christians couldn't enjoy Harry Potter too? No one!

Inspired by Kirk Cameron, Hollywood star and hardcore Evangelical Christian, The Kirk Cameron Repertory Players have played to sold out crowds at community theaters, Growing Pains fan conventions, and creation museums all over America. The audience is encouraged to bring Harry Potter books and Leonardo DiCaprio DVDs to the show. There will be a book and DVD burning during the performance.

The Hogwarts Improvisation Society - Wizards, witches, Muggles and Squibs! You are cordially invited to the Hogwarts Improvisational Society's annual championship gala on Saturday, November 20th at Midnight. Cheer on three-time champions Slytherin as they battle their arch rivals Gryffindor in an evening of mirth and magic. Wear your house colors! (No Death Eaters, please!)
