Holiday Album Due From Songwriter Martin Blasick

Nov. 9, 2010 - PRLog -- On the hottest day in Los Angeles history, singer/songwriter Martin Blasick was mesmerized by the mysteries of Santa Claus and the North Pole. As the mercury reached 113 degrees on  Sept 27, 2010, the writer of Lindsey Lohan's "Don't Move On" and numerous movie and TV songs was channeling holiday joy in an unair-conditioned  condo.

"It was like a door to Santa's workshop opened right into my heart", says Blasick of the
four holiday carols that got written that day.. He soon realized he wanted to record an album and had better make it quickly. "That's the power of the internet. I can put this album on iTunes for a nominal cost as soon as recording is completed. This is personal and meaningful to me. I want to put it out on my own so I can reach friends and lovers of the holiday season immediately".

With titles such as 'Get Ready For Winter", "Fly Away Little Reindeer", and "Operation North Pole" this collection of songs is meant to be sweet and joyous without a hint of modern sarcasm. "This is what it might sound like if Burl Ives or Bing Crosby grew up playing the electric guitar", says Blasick.

Happy Holidays by Martin Blasick is due for release on iTunes on Nov. 22, 2010. He's posting daily videos counting down to Dec. 25th.
