Garden City Agent Jerry Barry Donates $500 to Andy Foundation

Nov. 22, 2010 - PRLog -- Allstate agency owner Jerry Barry was recently named an Agent Hero by Allstate Insurance Company’s New York Region, and awarded a $500 grant for a local youth program.

Barry donated the grant to the Andy Foundation of Garden City, a charitable organization that benefits children in need. Following its motto, “By Kids – For Kids,” the Andy Foundation fundraisers are worked mainly by local youth, helping raise money for projects such as donating equipment to the Cancer Center for Kids at Winthrop-University Hospital in Mineola, assisting Pal-O-Mine Equestrian in Islandia, building a playground at the Martin C. Burrell School for autistic children in Commack, and refurbishing the library of the De LaSalle School in Freeport.

“As an Allstate agent, I believe it is my responsibility to demonstrate the Good Hands Promise in the Garden City community every single day,” said Jerry Barry, whose office is located at 226 7th Street. “It is an honor to be able to donate this grant to the Andy Foundation and hopefully touch the lives of the kids who are involved.”
