A new video website from the Peak District’s market leader in accommodation and information

Nov. 25, 2010 - PRLog -- A new video website from the Peak District’s market leader in accommodation and information has been launched today.

http://www.videosofthepeakdistrict.co.uk which goes live today, is a unique collection of online videos featuring Peak District towns and villages, accommodation and wildlife.
Drawing on its specialist knowledge of the region and using a professional video team, Peak District Online is creating a video catalogue that will give website visitors an entirely new view of their favourite destinations.

The portfolio to date includes 15 of the area’s most popular towns including Bakewell, Buxton, Matlock and Ashbourne and picturesque villages such as Ashford in the Water and Hartington. Another 123 towns and villages are to be filmed over the next year in an ongoing project that will cost the company in excess of £200,000.

The distinctive limestone buildings and glorious surrounding countryside of these rural communities have been perfectly captured in what promises to become popular addition to the Peak District Online Group of websites. The flagship site has more than 12,000 pages of information, what’s-on and accommodation and already attracts more than XXX visitors per month.

The first video featuring the pretty village of Great Longstone was launched on the site two months ago and received 2,000 unique hits in the week it went  live; since then another 28 videos have been added including bed and breakfast accommodation and some glorious wildlife that really captures the essence of the wonderful Peak District lifestyle.
The company is predicting a massive take up for businesses who want to give potential visitors a unique glimpse of their Peak District offering.
