National Agents Alliance® Staff Volunteer at Pack-a-Thon

Dec. 2, 2010 - PRLog -- National Agents Alliance® staff and many local volunteers came together in Haw River, NC with the leadership of “Feed My Starving Children” and “New Directions International” to pack almost 200,000 meals for children in Bangladesh.

“These events are really great because it really is a community wide event. We go out and talk to churches, businesses, civic groups, all kinds of organizations to raise interest several months out. They raise funds, teams, and then they commit to a two hour packing session.” said Colin  Campbell, the Pack-a-Thon Coordinator.

He continued, “On average one person will pack a box of food that will feed a child  268 servings. One person almost feeds a child for a full year which is really incredible. This is the closest you can get to a mission trip without leaving the country.”

National Agents Alliance® staff member, Ed Terrell said, “This was an amazing experience to be able to help out with. It really makes you realize how truly blessed we are to live in this country. I didn’t know that so little of my time could be helpful towards such a wonderful cause.”
