Russell Aldo Murray Gallery kicks off the holiday season with Holiday Spectacular exhibit

Dec. 3, 2010 - PRLog -- Newark, NJ –This holiday season, The Russell Aldo Murray (RAM) Gallery will continue its appreciation of African American fine art with the “African Americana Holiday Spectacular “exhibit. Pastor Alfonso Sherald’s impressive Afrocentric Christmas collection will be the focal point of the exhibit, and will cover the dual tiered gallery space. The opening ceremony for the exhibit will be held this Friday, December 3, 2010 at 6:30 pm and will conclude January 16, 2011.

Lauren M. Craig, Esq., the Director of the RAM Gallery says, "We are thrilled to bring this amazing collection of Afrocentric Santa’s, nutcrackers, angels and carolers to the public for all to enjoy. Pastor Sherald was truly one of a kind, and the breadth of his collection reflects his uniqueness, spirit and tenacity." Pastor Sherald began collecting African American-themed holiday decorations in the 1990’s, as an ode to his love of Christmas and the African American culture.
