Chocolate;- What's Love Got To Do With It?

Dec. 4, 2010 - PRLog -- You may well have heard about the health benefits of dark chocolate, it's been hailed as a super food for some time now. Go way, way back and the Mayans and Aztecs were the ones who championed the aphrodisiac  benefits of chocolate. Indeed the Aztec Emperor Montezuma had a harem of six hundred women!

Chocolate found it's way to Europe with the Spanish Conquistadors and so began a European love affair with chocolate, an affair that is still going strong today.

How fitting to discover then that it is a love story that lay behind the opening of this gorgeous little Belgian chocolate boutique in Dublin's Jervis Centre. These purveyors of exquisite fresh handmade chocolates, Irishman Declan Ronaghan and his lovely Belgian partner Inge Nysten had a chance meeting through friends in Ghent some years ago.
The couple's long distance romance continued to blossom and they decided they had had enough of the commuting back and forth... So what to do next was the question?

Inge, a trilingual highly qualified engineering project manager decided Belgian Chocolate was the answer! So in the way that many Irish folk have left home for foreign lands and set up a traditional Irish bar - Inge has come to Dublin and opened a boutique selling unquestionably Belgian's finest brand of chocolates - Leonidas.

So you see when it comes to the chocolate in this particular shop ...
