Deck The Walls of Crowne Gallery!

Dec. 7, 2010 - PRLog -- December 1, 2010 – Crowne Plaza Hotel announces the official opening of the new Contra Costa Ballroom and Crowne Gallery featuring the Crowne Jewels of Contra Costa.  
   The new Contra Costa Ballroom, was originally the Hangar Lounge & Bar and was converted to 4000 square feet of additional meeting space, to meet the growing demands for larger more diverse meeting and event space in Contra Costa County.  
“The addition of the Contra Costa Ballroom allows us the opportunity to accommodate larger functions who require breakouts and/or multiple functions simultaneously,” said General Manager Larry Ross.    
“The newly acclaimed Restaurant, Vineyards Chop House – Bar and our daily Hungry Hour from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. provide a welcomed option for those former patrons of the Hangar Lounge & Bar” said, Director of Operations, Wayne Van Akin.  
The new Contra Costa Ballroom provided the perfect back drop and canvas for a community collaboration between AC5, the Arts & Culture Commission of Contra Costa County and Crowne Plaza Hotel. Crowne Plaza has become the venue and Gallery host for many of Contra Costa Counties artists and photographers including:  Jan Weiss, Suzanne Cerny, Di Starr, Ricki Mountain, Christian Titus and William Stout, who’s art will be on display at the Crowne Gallery for the next two months.  Some of the artist work can also be seen in an on-line slideshow at:  http://www.ac5.org/events-programs/shape-takes-flight
“The Contra Costa Ballroom, appropriately named, seemed an ideal match to showcase the Counties artists. It is a great opportunity to celebrate and showcase the talent, diversity and culture in our community.  We anticipate this being an on-going collaboration with AC5 and look forward to creating new opportunities to fundraise and showcase other performing, literary artists and organizations in the future,” Lisa Bonnington, Director of Sales & Marketing for Crowne Plaza concluded.
