Stephen Wain Awarded IBBA Chairman's Award for 2010

Dec. 9, 2010 - PRLog -- Stephen Wain, President of Calder Associates, was awarded the prestigious Chairman's Award at the IBBA's 2010 Fall Professional Conference in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The award, given to one person annually by the Chairman of the International Business Brokers Association (IBBA), is presented to those individuals who have made a material impact in the profession of Business Brokerage and Mergers and Acquisitions, and who have helped to achieve the continued objectives of the IBBA.

Steve, as Chairperson of the IBBA and The M&A Source Technology Committees, was instrumental in helping to develop the IBBA's strategic technology plan, and then execute it against that plan. "Steve has assisted many of our members and the profession by allowing our professional intermediaries and brokers to provide the level of service, using technology, that provides greater value to business owners and buyers", said Edwin Kan Hing Lee, CBI, CPA, CFA, President of the Hong Kong Business Investment Co, Ltd., and Chairman of the IBBA "Steve worked tirelessly to bring value to our members and has helped establish long term objectives toward the betterment of our profession", Lee said.

Steve Wain is the President of Calder Associates, and also in charge of their New Jersey professional practice.  Steve is a Certified Business Intermediary (CBI), and also a Mergers and Acquisition Master Intermediary (M&AMI), a designation held by less than 100 people worldwide. Steve was the founder and past-President of the Mid-Atlantic Business Brokers Association. Steve assists numerous companies as both an advisor, and as a member of their Boards of Directors. In addition, Steve is a Board member of the International Business Brokers Association (IBBA), and also on the Leadership Council of The M&A Source, which is the nation's leading authority for M&A dealmakers, Private Equity Groups, and other M&A professionals.
