“Catholic Charities Samaritan House Homeless Shelter has been operating at capacity,” said Geoff Bennett, Vice President of Shelter and Community Outreach.  “Lou does a tremendous job of giving ‘voice’ to the men, women, and children who call Samaritan House ‘home.’  I cannot thank him enough for his work on the radio-a-thon each year.  Last year we raised nearly $300,000 – enough to cover 1 month of costs for the shelter!”

Samaritan House opened in 1986 as the first building in America designed specifically as a homeless shelter for men, women, and families with children.  The facility operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, providing a safe place to call “home” for up to 388 men, women, and children every night.

Tune in to 87.7 FM The TICKET or listen online at www.877theticket.com on December 15, 2010.
