Last year we raised nearly $300,000 – enough to cover 1 month of costs for the shelter!” Samaritan House opened in 1986 as the first building in America designed specifically as a homeless shelter for men, women, and families with children. The facility operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, providing a safe place to call “home” for up to 388 men, women, and children every night.
