Tabernacle Partners with New Jersey Blood Services,Nets Basketball for 1st BIG GIVE Extravaganza

Dec. 13, 2010 - PRLog -- The Big Give Celebration is a two part community centered event that will provide families with the opportunity to both give and receive during the most festive holiday weekend of the year- Christmas!

On Christmas Eve from 12PM-2PM, there will be a great celebration that is open to the entire community. It includes dynamic dancing, gut busting Christian comedy, the debut of a creative short film produced in entirety by pre-teens, and a Christmas story being taught by the Senior Pastor, De’Andre Salter and his wife Terri Jones-Salter. Gifts will be presented to the all children in attendance and refreshments will also be served. This will be a Christmas Eve celebration for community families to remember.

Then, on Sunday December 26th, The Tabernacle will partner with New Jersey Blood services to help others by donating blood. The goal is 40 pints! Between the hours of 10AM-4PM New Jersey Blood Services will be on site to assist with The Tabernacle’s efforts to save lives. “There is no better gift you can give this Christmas to show the love of Christ than to give life itself,” says Senior Pastor De’Andre Salter. “Give blood, Jesus did,” Salter continues. As a way to say “thank you” participants will earn a free pair of NJ Nets basketball tickets for a March game. The NJ Blood Drive also serves as an outlet for high school students to earn community service hours if they choose to volunteer.
