The Next Psychology and Family Law Column in the SGVPA Newsletter Covers Pre & Post Nups

Dec. 19, 2010 - PRLog -- Premarital and post-marital agreements are hot topic issues these days, especially with the highly publicized McCourt divorce case in Los Angeles. In fact, while Los Angeles Family Law Attorney Mark B. Baer has been a regular columnist for the San Gabriel Valley Psychological Association's bimonthly newsletter since September 2010, it was only for the January/February 2011 edition that the editor requested that he write on a particular topic - premarital and post-marital agreements. Baer completed that article on December 18, 2010 and it will be published in the next edition of the San Gabriel Valley Psychological Association's newsletter and will be entitled, "Why Lawyers Now Avoid Assisting with Pre and Post-Nuptial Agreements."

Baer says that Suzanne Lake Psy.D., the Editor of the newsletter and esteemed former President of the organization, "suggested that I write a column on that topic after she learned that I had been interviewed on a KTLA News segment regarding the reasons behind the increase in the percentage of women seeking prenuptial agreements and was subsequently featured on an internationally broadcast teleseminar series on the topic, 'What They Don’t Tell You About Pre & Post-Nups & Why You Need to Know.' However, Baer stated that Dr. Lake did not exercise any editorial control over the focus of his upcoming column. According to Baer, the San Gabriel Valley Psychological Association has been very pleased with the topics and focus of his regular column, which was a named factor in the California Psychological Association's decision to honor the Association with the most outstanding Psychological Association newsletter in California in April 2010.
