WA Opens its Doors in Shanghai - Welcome to the Revolution of Health Care

Jan. 4, 2011 - PRLog -- On December 22, WA Optimum Health Care Center opened its doors for shareholders and selected guests to have the first taste of the designer interiors and 5-star service experience that await patients coming for a new standard of health care. The 20 million USD project, renovated over a 3 month period was celebrated with a private red carpet event.

On arrival for the open-house hospitality in WA’s Mansion, secluded within the historical and private XingGuo Gardens in central Shanghai, guests were greeted with white glove service and healthy fresh-squeezed juice mixed with WA’s own high-nutrient supplement, Vita-Green. They enjoyed tours of all the facilities within the Center, including the comfortable doctor consultation rooms, VIP waiting lounges, sports medicine & fitness center, aesthetic department, pharmacy, radiology and operating rooms. The WA medical team introduced their respective departments and gave guests samples of some of the latest technology used within WA. Several visitors were seen showing off their copies of their own “pin-prick” blood test with instant print-out of comprehensive results and images.

Buzzing with excitement the crowd then filtered into the ballroom, welcomed by a string quartet. They settled in to listen to a series of presentations outlining what regenerative medicine is, why China is in such urgent need of this type of integrative medicine, and how WA has put it all together under one roof with unrivalled patient service.
   
-Chairman Dr Shu Li thanked the shareholders for their support and trust, as well as the entire WA medical and administrative teams for their dedication to a new standard of health care.
-CMO Dr Tony Lu explained several different aspects of regenerative medicine, including cellular therapy and detoxification and WA’s personalized programs to help you look younger, feel younger and live longer.
-CEO Derek Muhs interviewed Dr Ping Wu about why both young and old need regenerative medicine and the success she has had with her own patients.
-Gordon Duffy and Mark Wu, WA’s strength and sports practitioners demonstrated how vital correct posture and fitness are in order to avoid injury and maintain functionality for a long quality life.
-There were several launches of new WA productions, including “The Revolution of Health Care” video, a new book by Drs Ping Wu and Shu Li entitled “Be Young and Beyond”, and the “Longevity” magazine, WA’s luxury lifestyle publication, focusing on health care in China.
-Director of Operations, Shannon Neilsen described the patient experience that makes WA unique, beginning with a welcoming aromatic footbath, ample time with personal WA physicians and VIP waiting lounges. Thoughtful furnishings and Shanghai art pieces courtesy of Elisabeth de Brabant art gallery add to the relaxing atmosphere.
-Finally the spectators were treated to a fashion show of uniforms for the medical and service teams, custom-designed in the style of Audrey Hepburn and the classic British trench coat.

Afterward guests remained for more one-on-one time with the WA doctors, booking appointments to come for their initial consultation with their WA Personal Physician.

The following day, while a limited number of appointments were scheduled, over 30 patients ended up having consultations and many more had to be scheduled for another day. Commenting on the flow of patients coming through the doors, Dr Shu Li said “This is a real indicator of the market demand for this type of health care and service in China.”

The date for the Grand Opening will soon be announced, which will be some time in February, after Chinese New Year.
