Haiti Is Chosen Venue For Healing Hands For Haiti International Meeting

Jan. 14, 2011 - PRLog -- Port-au-Prince, Haiti (January 13, 2011) The Board and staff of Healing Hands for Haiti International (HHHI) are holding their annual meeting in Haiti on January 13 to 17, 2011. Haiti was chosen by the Board as the venue for this important meeting in order to manifest the commitment of HHHI to the country and to Haitians, and in order to better familiarize themselves with the country, HHHI beneficiaries and their combined and individual roles.

It’s been a year since the devastating earthquake shook the nation and Haitians have shown courageous optimism as they reassemble their lives. While the effects have been devastating to the country, there have been countless stories of hope that have resonated in our hearts and minds as we reflect. The road to recovery remains a difficult one, however, and Healing Hands for Haiti International remains committed to the rebuilding process.

The HHHI Board will be reviewing operations at all levels, human resource needs and challenges, programs and their execution, decisions will be made and goals and strategies set for the future.

2010 has been the most stressful and fast paced year in the history of HHHI. We are very thankful to all our benefactors who have enabled us to not only bring our services quickly back to pre-earthquake levels, but for those who have supported our vision of providing excellence in rehabilitation medicine through the development of a new facility and training programs for Haitians. Everyone’s contribution has made a difference in how the organization has survived and grown over the past 12 months.

Looking forward to 2011, Healing Hands will continue to expand their projects and programs in service to the disabled population of Haiti with the continuing objective of service provided by Haitians for Haitians.
