New Microsoft Dynamics CRM gets improved productivity features

Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 can help organisations increase productivity by providing intuitive and time saving features such as the new Office Fluent User interface, new preview panes and contextual Office ribbons.

Jan. 17, 2011 - PRLog -- Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 can help organizations increase productivity by providing intuitive and time-saving features.  In passed versions of Microsoft Dynamics CRM, users would have to navigate between multiple tabs and forms to view the details of each record. Now with the new flat UI, users can easily scroll down and up within the same form and view all the details, without having to click different tabs or forms. In addition, users can expand or contract the sections in the form to optimize the experience. Ultimately, the new flat UI minimizes clicks and windows and allows users to more rapidly and efficiently work with data. Plus, users still have the benefit of the left-hand navigation that allows them to jump to specific items like documents, activities, and workflows.

Another key advantage of 2011 is the CRM Ribbon. Microsoft originally implemented ribbons as part of its "Fluent User Interface.”  In Microsoft Office 2007 the Ribbon interface was limited to the main Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint applications but in Microsoft Office 2010 the Ribbon was introduced across many Microsoft applications including Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011. The Ribbon in Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011, like other Microsoft applications, is contextual. With each feature or form, it changes to show the most relevant information and commands.  

Ultimately the new streamlined UI, contextual ribbon  and other embedded Office capabilities make it easier for users to find information and access relevant features and that in turn makes it easier for users  to take advantage of the application's rich feature set.
Previous versions of Microsoft Dynamics CRM had several improvements to usability within Microsoft Dynamics CRM forms and views. The latest version provides much more. Through additional investments and focus on user experience and adoption, Microsoft Dynamics CRM users will find it easier to find and update information, personalize the interface to make it easier to use, and move throughout the application.
