Mid America Motorworks provides seats for Corvette restoration

Jan. 18, 2011 - PRLog -- Effingham, Ill. – Mid America Motorworks is completing a seat restoration in a 1984 Corvette as part of a benefit for a Coles County man. Michael Haugh recently underwent a leg amputation and is now making daily trips to Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center in Mattoon, Ill. to receive treatments and prepare for a prosthetic. The Corvette is part of a benefit to raise funds for Haugh’s medical expenses.

Terry Clotfelter, a member of the Coles County Corvette Club donated his Corvette to the benefit in an effort to raise more funds for Haugh. PERFORMANCE CHOICE will manufacture the seat covers and put them on seat foam that will be installed by Mid America Motorworks. The Corvette has a black exterior and is in good condition, with just 46,000 original miles.

The Michael D. Haugh Benefit is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 12 at the American Legion in Mattoon. Beginning at 12 p.m., the benefit will include local musicians, a 50/50 raffle and drawings in addition to the Corvette raffle.
