By: Laurie Pehar Borsh Starting in the mid-1980’s, Greg Wood served in various dispute resolution capacities including as a judge pro temp, an arbitrator (sole, panel member and panel chair), and mediator. Prior to becoming a partner with Fulbright & Jaworski LLP, Mr. Wood was a partner in two other intellectual property firms and the managing partner of the Los Angeles office of a large highly regarded IP firm. Before embarking on his legal career, Mr. Wood earned a B.S. degree at U.C.L.A. in Electronic Engineering and an M.S. degree at U.C.L.A. in Control Systems Engineering under a fellowship with Hughes Aircraft. While with Hughes, Mr. Wood was licensed by the State of California as a Professional Control System Engineer. He transitioned to patent prosecution on highly technical complex electro mechanical, computer, and optical systems and went on to earn a J.D. degree with honors from La Verne College of Law while working at Hughes Aircraft. Devoted to continuous professional development, he participated in more than a dozen training certification courses in dispute resolution, arbitration, mediation, and negotiation at the Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution at Pepperdine University.
