Jan. 21, 2011 - PRLog -- If you’re looking for a coastally-chic locale and seductive cuisine this Valentine’s Day, let the waterfront Red Marlin at the Hyatt Regency Mission Bay Spa & Marina lure you in. With sweeping harbor and bay views overlooking the scenic Mission Bay Marina, the acclaimed restaurant is offering a four-course, prix-fixe menu – available Friday, February 11 through Monday, February 14 – to help you catch the one you’re after.

“Couples have high expectations for a Valentine’s Day dining experience, and I’ve created a menu that is all heart and ideal for twosomes,” said Chef de Cuisine Danny Bannister. “We’ll set the perfect scene here at Red Marlin, so you can focus on the romance. And, as Valentine’s Day falls on a Monday this year, guests can choose from four nights on which to celebrate.”

For the seafood lover, Chef Bannister is offering a first course of Seafood Crepe with Lobster, Shrimp, Kaffir and Lime Butter. The second course will follow with a choice between Roasted Apple and Parsnip Soup with Citrus Crème Fraiche and Parsnip Chips, or Baby Spinach Salad with Sautéed Oyster Mushrooms, Redwood Hill Goat Cheese and Warm House Bacon Dressing.

Creating the “Perfect Pair,” the third course includes Dry Rubbed New York Steak with Sauce Béarnaise and Grilled Asparagus suited with Pan Seared Scallops with Fennel and Blood Orange Slaw.

And to end the flawless night of food, Valentine’s guests won’t be able to resist the temptation of a shared dessert of Red Velvet Cake with Cream Cheese, Candied Pistachios and Ganache, topped off with a Champagne toast and Truffle Lollipops.

Red Marlin’s Valentine’s Day menu will be served from 5 to 10 p.m. February 11 through 14 and is priced at $45 per person (excluding tax and gratuity). Reservations are highly recommended and can be made by calling 619-221-4868.

Red Marlin is located at 1441 Quivira Road in San Diego and is open daily for breakfast from 6:30 to 11:30 a.m.; lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.; and dinner from 5 to 10 p.m. The bar is open from 11:30 a.m. to midnight. For additional information, visit www.redmarlinrestaurant.com.
