Follow on Google News | West Sound Academy Offers Summer ESL Program for International StudentsWest Sound Academy (WSA), a private school in Poulsbo, Washington, is offering an intensive, five-week English as a Second Language (ESL) Summer Session from July 18 through August 19, 2011, for international students ages 14-19.
The weekday program takes place on West Sound Academy’s rural 20-acre campus on the Kitsap Peninsula, west of Seattle. Afternoon sessions are held in either the school’s art, dance, or music studios or at Poulsbo’s Liberty Bay. Students live in Murphy House, the school’s ten-room dormitory located in historic Poulsbo. Summer session residents at Murphy House will be within easy walking distance of village shops, the waterfront, and cultural activities. Joe Kennedy, Head of School at West Sound Academy, is excited about the prospect of having international students on campus this July and August, saying, "WSA is pleased to initiate an English as a Second Language Summer Session. It's a natural extension of WSA's International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme and gives us an opportunity for global interaction the year round."
