Food allergy educational videos now available on Egg-Free Epicurean's YouTube channel

Jan. 23, 2011 - PRLog -- Amy Jones Anichini, CEO and Founder of Egg-Free Epicurean (peanut-free and tree nut-free too), has begun posting food allergy educational videos on YouTube pertaining to EggFreeEpicurean.com's Checklist for the Newly Diagnosed. All video content on the Egg-Free Epicurean YouTube channel is viewable free of charge, without registration.

EggFreeEpicurean.com serves two roles: it sells cookies and baked desserts safe for people with food allergies to eggs, nuts, and peanuts, and it provides helpful information to people with food allergies of any kind.

Part of its food allergy education content includes its "Checklist for the Newly Diagnosed - Twelve Things to Do Right Away" for people who just received a diagnosis of food allergic either for themselves or for their child.

The 12-step checklist encompasses such topics as treating food allergic reactions, epinephrine, MedicAlert, and the FDA's stance on food allergen labeling.

Eventually Egg-Free Epicurean (peanut-free and tree nut-free too) plans to release videos for all twelve items on its Checklist for the Newly Diagnosed. All Egg-Free Epicurean's food allergy education videos are closed captioned in English and are intended to conform to the Americans with Disabilities Act.

Presently Ms. Anichini has released videos pertaining to the first three items on her food allergy checklist. Those checklist items are:

1. Don't panic — educate yourself and be prepared

2. Educate your child and other people in your life

3. Know the symptoms of an allergic reaction and how you should treat it
