Follow on Google News | Ewings announced as 2010 Andy S. Albright Award winnersEwings started two years ago with National Agents Alliance
The Ewings, who reside in Florida, said they had no idea they would win the award. "Jennifer and I were sitting there as Andy said it was somebody from the Womack group and we were excited because we thought it was somebody else we know and like. We were ready to celebrate their win and we hear our names," Jerrod Ewing said. "When he called out our names, we were absolutely excited but we didn't expect it to be us." The Andy S. Albright Award, named in honor of National Agents Alliance President and Chief Executive Officer Andy Albright, is given based on several areas of criteria - including action, spirit and attitude. Albright said he and his top executives discussed the work in great detail for coming up with a list of finalists. Finally, the panel locked in on the Ewings based on their growth in the last 12 months. "Because of my initials we call it the ASA Award and we wanted to give it to a couple that exuded all the right action habits, all the proper spirit of team and all the right attitude of being part of a team and doing things for all the right reasons," Albright said. "We looked all across the country and we were just so fired up about Jerrod and Jennifer. They are so wired to do the right things, and they have such great integrity, spirit and drive." Albright said one huge factor for the Ewings was their constant work ethic and their ability to coordinate their efforts while still maintaining a high quality of life outside of work. "They work at it 24-7, they work in tandem and fly all over the country," Albright said. "Jennifer attends meetings like she owns the company and Jerrod loves her so much and he takes care of her. He wants to win every trip we have available. They were awarded the Albright Award at our convention and I'm humbled we call it that, but the main thing is that the Ewings have the right action, spirit and attitude." Jerrod Ewing said the convention in Raleigh had a different message this year and was focused more on setting up the company for the long run. "It was fantastic," Ewing said. "It was a lot different atmosphere where people had a 'push for it' attitude to things." Ewing said he and his wife had really pushed hard to grow in the last 12 months professionally, and he said that approach will not change as the young couple pushes to reach their goal of becoming MVP Board members with National Agents Alliance by July. "We are going to be on planes every single week for the next 90 days and we are just going to keep going after it," Ewing said. "Our first goal is to become MVPs, so that's what we are gunning for now." Ewing said the Albright Award would serve as a constant reminder of what it will take to reach their goals in 2011. It also didn't hurt to hear words of encouragement from Albright on stage when the Ewings received their award. "Andy just told us that he was proud of us and that we deserved it," Ewing said. "He said he knew we had been working hard and he told us to continue to do that. We don't plan to let up. That award is more valuable to us than any other award on that table that was given out that night. It is worth more to us than all the other awards put together."
