VW Vanagon’s Go Green - Bio Diesel Seals Now Available

Get more power and better mileage from your VW Vanagon by going green. Better mileage and better for the planet. You can now run your VW on biodiesel, cooking oil and regular diesel.

Ventura Warehouse Group (manufacturing arm for Airhead Parts and KGPR) has expanded beyond their VW Bug parts line to offer parts for the Volkswagen Vanagon. This is good news, particularly in California where this still popular vehicle has become “the new woody ” in surf side towns up and down the coast. Vanagon fuel system parts include grommets, fuel line, fuel gauge sending units; cross-over and filler vent pipes. All materials are suitable for use with gas, diesel and biodiesel applications without degrading and leaking.

Scott Free, a Santa Monica surfer, converted his Vanagon Westfalia Camper to diesel over a year ago.
“I use to get about 15-17 mpg and it was gutless! Since the conversion the mileage and power have almost doubled, especially at low RPMs.  It’s good to know that if I want to go biodiesel I can, since I used all the right stuff.”

The gas powered VW Vanagon Westfalia produced from 1980 to 1992, though still popular with thousands remaining on the road, is fairly gutless as any owners know. Now you can get about 80% more power out of them by converting to diesel, and since VWG uses materials especially designed to work with biodiesel you have the option of filling-up with green planet-friendly fuel. Now as with any conversion to a biodiesel fuel system, you have to use the right materials or they will degrade. VWG uses a high grade Viton (a registered TM of Dupont) specifically formulated for biodiesel. Viton is the best material available because it is totally resistant to diesel, biodiesel, rotten biodiesel and gasoline..
