3 Simple Operation - Gas-cut mud is drawn into the tank through a vacuum created by the discharge jet and the pump. The mud is dispersed in a thin layer over the full-length baffle and, as the entrained gas is freed, it is recovered by the vacuum pump. The gas is discharged at a safe distance from the drilling operation while the restored mud is returned to the drilling fluid system.

4 Few Moving Parts - The D-GASSER features only three moving parts: the float inside the vacuum vessel, the vacuum breaker valve, and the vacuum pump. The float ensures that the system maintains the desired mud-fill level within the vessel during operation.

5 High Performance - The D-GASSER can handle up to 1,000 gpm while restoring mud to its original density.

Working principle of Swaco horizontal type vacuum degasser

The return-flow, gas-cut mud is drawn into the tank through a vacuum created by the discharge jet and pump. The mud is then dispersed in a thin layer over a two-tier, baffle-plate system where the entrained gas, including H2S and corrosive oxygen, is recovered by the vacuum pump. The freed gas is then discharged at a safe distance from the drilling operation while the restored mud is returned to the active mud system.

GN vacuum degasser is different with Swaco horizontal degasser, both in structure and working principle, but they can reach the same function.  GN drilling rig vacuum degasser(ZCQ series) is a special-purpose device for the treatment of gas-cut drilling fluid. It is a new type one we have designed and developed by combining different sorts of degassers from home and abroad. It is important for returning mud gravity, stabilizing mud viscosity and reducing drilling cost. Also, it can be used as a heavy-power agitator during the operation of gas free mud.
