Artist Reception at Norbertellen Gallery in Los Angeles featuring Carmen Perez, March 5

Feb. 20, 2011 - PRLog -- Carmen Perez, noted Hollywood’s Latina It-Girl and fine artist is exhibiting at Norbertellen Gallery’s Infini Couleur Group Exhibition the month of February through March 26th.  Audiences are invited to meet Carmen Perez during the gallery’s Artist Reception, Saturday, March 5th, 6pm to 10pm. The must-see exhibition is open to the public and free to all ages. Norbertellen Gallery located at 215 W 6th Street Suite 110, LA, CA and there is no charge to attend.

From her memorable appearance on Nip/Tuck to the top of the Pop Music Charts, to hugely successful gallery exhibits, Carmen continues to thrive in the art world, focusing on her collection “WonderDreams.” The show will feature two pieces from the collection along with the works of established and emerging local, national and international artists in Norbertellen Gallery’s classic parlor style exhibition of painting, illustration, photography, mixed media and sculpture.

Gallery doors will remain open during The Downtown LA Art Walk Thursday, March 10th from 12pm to 10pm.

ABOUT CARMEN PEREZ
Carmen Perez, multi-talented Puerto Rican singer/songwriter, actress and painter is not your ordinary artist.  Stationed overseas and in Washington, D.C. for the U.S. Army, Carmen became a Sergeant by the tender age of 22, later earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Government and International Politics at George Mason University, only to find her true calling at an actor’s workshop.  Her heart truly belongs to art and creating.  With over 50 acting credits under her highly decorated belt, still her heart marches to the beat of her own drum.  Her two hits songs won over the Top 50 Billboard Club and Top 10 UK Commercial Pop Charts.  Her first Spanglish song and titled “Velas” (candles) will be released in 2011.  The music video will be available on Youtube and iTunes this summer.
Inspired by her dreams and imagination, Carmen’s biggest passion presented itself in 2009 when she started painting.  Her on-going series “WonderDreams” is an experience inspired by dreams and the unseen, journeys through other dimensions, realms and the subconscious of the Universe expressing wonderment in worlds of color.  Her artwork contrasts powerful bold edges with vulnerable colors of life.  Carmen’s goal is to make people smile as they fly along with her “WonderDreams.” www.carmenperezart.com
