Northwest Cape Coral Neighborhood Association launches petition oppose Ceitus Boat Lift Application

Feb. 24, 2011 - PRLog -- The Northwest Cape Coral Neighborhood Association, Inc. (NWNA) has made an electronic petition available on its web site at http://www.nwcape.com for all Cape Coral, Lee County, and Florida residents to oppose the wasteful expenditure of $4 - $5 million of taxpayer money to reinstall the Ceitus barrier in the fragile Cape Coral North Spreader ecosystem.

The petition asks that the State of Florida Department of Environmental Protection deny the Environmental Resource Permit Application for construction of the Ceitus Boat Lift Storm Water Barrier located in Cape Coral, Florida based on the findings and conclusions of the North Spreader Ecosystem Management Agreement (NSEMA).  

The Northwest Cape Coral Neighborhood Association believes this is an important environmental issue and is encouraging Florida residents to access http://www.nwcape.com to sign its electronic petition that will be submitted to the State of Florida Department of Environmental Protection.
