Mid America Motorworks acquires OE Vee Dub

March 1, 2011 - PRLog -- Effingham, Ill. – Mid America Motorworks, aftermarket manufacturer and supplier of parts and accessories for Air-Cooled Volkswagens, has finalized the acquisition of OE Vee Dub in Lake George, Colo. This strategic acquisition brings the sourcing and product line of quality Original Equipment Air-Cooled VW parts to Mid America Motorworks.

Richard Davies, former owner of OE Vee Dub, has moved to Effingham, Ill. and brings considerable experience with OE quality and suppliers to Mid America Motorworks. Davies has been in the VW parts business since 1978, beginning his career in Europe before moving to Colorado in 1999. He has a specialty in original equipment VW parts, specifically German manufactured parts, for VW Beetles, Buses and Vanagons.

Davies will be the lead integrator of a new concept in vintage VW parts offerings at
Mid America Motorworks. A new multi-level selection of similar parts will start to appear within the VW product line. OE Quality, OE Reproduction and a Value Line of seemingly similar parts will be available.
