The 2011 5th Annual DMV Music Awards Saturday - March 5, 2011 | Hyatt Regency Crystal City

March 2, 2011 - PRLog -- (DC, MD, VA) – This Saturday, the DMV Music Awards returns for its fifth anniversary celebration honoring independent artists and music industry executives. With 43 categories, various genres and performances by the hottest talent from Baltimore to northern Virginia, this program is a must-attend for music lovers around the region. The 5th Annual DMV Music Awards is sponsored in part by Create DC, Target Squad, DTLR, Midieast, Studio 43, 368 Music Group,  Makeup Artist Audrey T. Moore, and Southside Henny Photography.

Live red carpet broadcasts and coverage by WKYS 93.9 FM, WERQ 92.3 FM and DA Beat 1650 AM. Red Carpet entry for artists, nominees, presenters and VIPs starts at 6 p.m.; the show will begin promptly at 7:30, hosted by Comedian Eddie Bryant, music by Black Alley, and special appearances by the Rev. Tony Lee of Community of Hope AME Church, Actor/Musician/Radio Personality Big G from The Wire, Dreams Work, Inc., Radio/TV Personality Jeannie “Kitty of the City” Jones from WKYS 93.9 FM, Antonio "The Cuban Cigar Smoker"  from WKYS 93.9 FM, Tray Chaney from The Wire, Celebrity Fashion Designer KAS,  BET’s College Hill Chris, DJ Heat from The Big Tigger Morning Show on WPGC 95.5 FM, and more.
