Thomas County, Kansas Farmland Sells at $4,800 per Acre – Sets County Record

March 17, 2011 - PRLog -- 160 acres of prime, irrigated farmland has set  a Thomas County record for the highest sale price for a quarter section of irrigated land sold by private treaty sale. The property, located seven miles east and one mile north of Colby, Kan., was marketed and sold by United Country – Homeland Realty & Auction. A contract was written and accepted within 48 hours of the listing entering the market.

“This particular property is a prime, irrigated quarter section in a great location with strong irrigation water,” said Rock L.
