NSCS Announces New Community College Division

The National Society of Collegiate Scholars is pleased to announce the creation of a new division of the organization, the Community College Division.

March 7, 2011 - PRLog -- Washington, D.C. – The National Society of Collegiate Scholars is pleased to announce the creation of a new division of the organization, the Community College Division.

NSCS is an honor society for high-achieving first- and second-year college students at nearly 300 colleges nationwide. The organization was founded in 1994 and has more than 750,000 members.

“For the past 17 years, NSCS has worked to recognize and elevate high-achieving students at four-year universities,” said Steve Loflin, NSCS’ CEO & Founder. “We are pleased to expand our benefits and opportunities to community colleges across the country and welcome our newest members into the Society.”

NSCS offers its members scholarships, leadership positions at the chapter and national level, career opportunities and discounts.
NSCS’ community college chapters include Northern Virginia Community College, Houston Community College, LA Southwest College, San Jacinto Community College and Hillsborough Community College, among others.
