Without use of salts or chemicals and with bio-degradeable filter media and 100% re-useable housings, Ecopure water treatment products have been sourced for their minimal environmental impact.

The ceramic media found in the majority of Ecopure Filters products are known as active ceramics. These ceramics display physical properties of semi-conductivity, magnetic properties and light emission (Far Infra-red , also known as FIR 1.4). The active ceramics are used for the treatment of water and other liquids and are evident as small ceramic beads.
The ceramics have been approved by the Water Research Centre under the Water By-Laws scheme for use in contact with potable water. They present no hazard to health or body in their use, storage or transportation – in fact they produce many intrinsic health benefits.
The active ceramics are a very porous mineral which filter, soften and remineralise the water leaving softer, purer and healthier water for you and your family. The filtration efficiency of the media is equivalent to 1 micron.

Most Ecopure products consist of a mix of 3 different active ceramic balls which all perform their own specific duties. This enables certain Ecopure products to be able to soften, filter and remineralise all-in-one.
