ArtisTech Media Releases New Petar Alargic Album

March 22, 2011 - PRLog -- Next Gen music label Artistech Media is pleased to announce the release of album ‘Classient Vinyl L1’ from ambient/electronica artist Petar Alargic. Classient Vinyl L1 is a contemplative, delicate soundscape that delights the senses and calms the Soul. Located in Serbia, Mr. Alagric’s unique sonic work as a writer, live performer, guitarist and producer has garnered him fans around the world.

Mr. Alargic found his way to ArtisTech Media via ccMixter.org, where he sought musical collaboration via pellas and other samples contributed by the community under varying Creative Commons licenses. Creative Commons licenses give musicians freedom to share and collaborate with other artists, and also facilitate musical conversations with and among their fans.

ccMixter.org, the most prominent experiment in free music culture, began in 2004 with a series of remix contests hosted by Creative Commons in conjunction with Wired Magazine featuring The Beastie Boys, David Byrne and other innovative musicians.  Lawrence Lessig, founding board member of Creative Commons, says of ccMixter: “The first important thing about Creative Commons is that it’s artist based.  It’s artists who choose what freedoms they’re going to give people when it comes to access to their work.”
