Horizon Moving Systems Transports Angel Statue Constructed from WTC Beams

Horizon Moving Systems, with corporate offices in Tucson, Arizona is picking up an angel statue that is made of steel from the World Trade Center and transporting it to Oro Valley Park.

March 24, 2011 - PRLog -- Horizon Moving Systems (www.horizonmoves.com), one of the largest United Van Lines agents, is scheduled to transport a 9’ 11” angel statue, named the Freedom Steadfast Angel of Love, in honor of Christina-Taylor Green, the youngest victim of the January 8, 2011 shooting in Tucson, Arizona.

In honor of Christina-Taylor Green (who was a 9/11 baby), there will be a 9-foot, 11-inch statue made from World Trade Center steel that will soon stand in an Oro Valley park. Horizon Moving Systems will be picking up the statue on Saturday, March 26, 2011 following a dedication ceremony at the site of the flight United 93 crash site. Horizon will then begin the journey back to Tucson, AZ with stops at Fenton, MO (United Van Lines Headquarters), Oklahoma City, OK and Alamogordo, NM, where there will be opportunities for the local communities to come and pay tribute.

Bruce Dusenberry, Owner of Horizon Moving Systems mentions “Our hearts go out to all of the victims that were involved in the tragic shooting here in Tucson. Because this event hit so close to home, we felt it necessary to be involved with this very special project for Christina-Taylor. We are humbled that we could be apart of this day and provide our services to Christina’s family in hopes that this statue and her story will inspire the community.”

Giving further details regarding this move, Vinay Kulkarni, the Chief Operating Officer of Horizon Moving Systems said, “When we first received a request for help, it was for some space on one of our vans transporting household goods. When we learned about the background of the angel and the idea behind it, we decided to send a dedicated driver and truck especially for this event out of respect for Christina and the angel being installed in her memory.”

The statue is scheduled to be dedicated on April 1, 2011 at James D. Kriegh Park in Oro Valley, AZ, where Christina played Little League. The baseball field at Kriegh Park will be named “Green Field” in honor of Christina-Taylor and the statue will stand in the southeast section of the field bearing her last name.
