New Magazine “Definition” Aims to Redefine Shreveport Urban Community

New Shreveport based publication hopes to hit the streets and knock out stereotypes
 
April 4, 2011 - PRLog -- Magazine Publisher Teddy Holmes announces the launch and delivery of Definition Magazine; recognizing the diversity of Shreveport by showcasing the affluence and achievements of the African American & other ethnic communities. The inaugural issue features Shreveport Mayor Cedric Glover on the cover as well as an exclusive interview with Helen Godfrey-Smith, President/CEO of Shreveport Federal Credit Union.

“Definition promises to be the most culturally inclusive publication in the area”, says Holmes. “There has long been a need for this type of uplifting publication to showcase the excellence and beauty in the Shreveport community. We have high expectations for the success of this magazine and everyone who supports this endeavor.”

Holmes is a Shreveport native and is passionate about the positive exposure of Shreveport. The Editor-in-Chief is a well-known pillar of the community, Roxann Johnson. The magazine offers fashion, finance, society, spirituality, higher education, business, and an advice column. Definition is available at more than 30 locations across the Shreveport-Bossier area and initially will be complimentary. After the first year, the magazine will be subscription only or $3 per issue.
