House Lights Media Partners Selected To Jury Feature Film Category At Vail Film Festival

April 7, 2011 - PRLog -- Denver,  Colorado, April 7, 2011  --  House Lights Media Partners (House Lights Media), an emerging leader in independent film distribution, was selected to jury the Feature Film category at the recent 2011 Vail Film Festival held in Vail, Colorado.  Sean Cross, Director of the Vail Film Festival, and Megen Musegades, Associate Director of the Vail Film Festival, selected House Lights Media due to the company’s expertise in identification and distribution of original, independent content as well as its experience working with the film world's newest storytellers and innovators.

Steve Roberts, President, House Lights Media, and Sandy Moore, Senior Vice President, House Lights Media, were also asked by the festival organizers to meet with the winners of the Screenwriters Competition and the Olympus sponsored, Olympus PEN Your Short 48 Hour Film Contest, as part of the award packages. During these meetings, House Lights Media consulted with the winning filmmakers and screenwriters on the nature of the film making business and the opportunities of taking a project through to all distribution platforms.

The Vail Film Festival, in its eighth year, featured 67 films from around the world, including 11 feature films and 56 documentaries, shorts, adventure, student, and animated films.  The Festival was established as a screening platform for aspiring filmmakers and a gathering place for film enthusiasts.
