House Lights Media Partners to Distribute Smart Independent Romantic Comedy “Losing Control”

Aug. 8, 2011 - PRLog -- House Lights Media Partners (House Lights Media) founders Steve Roberts and Sandy Moore are excited to announce the acquisition of the award winning independent romantic comedy, LOSING CONTROL, written and directed by scientist-turned-filmmaker, Valerie Weiss, for Theatrical and Non-Theatrical North American distribution.  LOSING CONTROL is expected to have its North American theatrical debut in the first quarter of 2012 following a fantastic festival circuit and earning the First Honorable Mention- Feature Christopher Wetzel Award for Independent Film Comedy which was established in 1995 at the Gene Siskel Film Center in Chicago.

LOSING CONTROL is hailed as a great date movie which melds science, drama, romance and comedy therefore expanding the “rom-com” audience by appealing to both men and women.  Caramie Schnell, Vail Daily, declared “LOSING CONTROL… isn’t your typical rom-com.  It’s a smart and funny film.” LOSING CONTROL was also reviewed as “a high energy, funny film,” by Maddy Kadish, The Independent.  The film is being honored with a special screening at the National Academy of Sciences in Washington, DC this fall.  

LOSING CONTROL stars Miranda Kent, Reid Scott, Kathleen Robertson, Theo Alexander, Bitsie Tulloch, John Billingsley, Lin Shaye and Steve Howey.  LOSING CONTROL was produced and cast by Alyssa Weisberg, CSA, scored by John Swihart and executive produced by Chicago based, Jeffrey Loeb.  The negotiations for the project LOSING CONTROL were handled by Glen Reynolds, President, Circus Road Films.
