2008, Verdine was presented with Bass Player magazine's Lifetime Achievement Award. This week, Verdine White donates his Yamaha BB300 bass guitar that he played from 1986 to 1996. This amazing piece of music memorabilia is up for auction at http://mamaearth.Webstore.com and will be up for bidding for one week. Proceeds from the sale of this bass guitar will go to Ashinaga, an organization that has been around since the 1960s and provides financial and emotional support to orphans.
