m.a.m.a. earth wind and fire for Japan!

April 12, 2011 - PRLog -- Los Angeles, CA April 11, 2011 - Verdine White is the bassist for legendary group, Earth Wind & Fire.  As a member of Earth, Wind & Fire, White has won six Grammy's and has been Grammy nominated seventeen times. As an Earth Wind & Fire member, he has also been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, the Vocal Group Hall of Fame and the band has also earned more than 50 gold and platinum albums and have sold over 90 million albums worldwide earning them a place on the list of best-selling music artists.  In November
2008, Verdine was presented with Bass Player magazine's Lifetime Achievement Award.

This week, Verdine White donates his Yamaha BB300 bass guitar that he played from 1986 to 1996.  This amazing piece of music memorabilia is up for auction at http://mamaearth.Webstore.com and will be up for bidding for one week.  Proceeds from the sale of this bass guitar will go to Ashinaga, an organization that has been around since the 1960s and provides financial and emotional support to orphans.  After the devastating earthquake and tsunami, they are focusing on the children that have lost one or both parents to this tragedy.
