Butler County Challenger League Baseball Kicks Off Season
Butler County’s Challenger Baseball League comes together to celebrate the season with Opening Day Ceremony and Events

Cincinnati, OH- April 21, 2011- The Butler County Challenger Baseball League, a baseball league for children with special needs, will take over  Crawford Woods in Hamilton, Ohio on May 1, 2011 to kick off  another season with opening day ceremony and game day events.

The 22nd annual season kickoff event gives families and supporters of the entire league the opportunity to come together and cheer on all the children in the league and give them inspiration for the entire season.  The 175 children within the league will play multiple games throughout the day while cheering each other on and creating friendships.

“The day is dedicated to kick off the Butler County Challenger Baseball season. Nothing is better than seeing the sheer joy in the kid’s faces as they take the field for the audience to clap and cheer them on for the first time of the season, notes  Jesy Herron, manager  for the Cardinals team.

Opening Day events will begin at 1:00pm.  Prior to the baseball games that will be played throughout the day, Alan Lakamp, president of the league, will start the event with a few inspirational words and a thank you to the sponsors and supporters of the league. The National Anthem will also be lead by a player involved in the league.
