Annual Torrance Armed Forces Day Parade-Longest running Armed Forces Day Parade in the US.

April 25, 2011 - PRLog -- Torrance,CA.  The City of Torrance is hosting its Annual Armed Forces Day activities including the 52nd Annual Armed Forces Day parade on Saturday 21 May, 2011.
The weekend will include Military exhibits and  free concerts by the 40th Infantry Division Band. This tribute to the Nations Armed Forces is the City's longest standing tradition and attended by tens of thousands from all over Southern California.
Each year the City honors a service and this year, the US Army will be the honored service and represented by Major General Robert. W.Cone who will be the  2011 Grand Marshal.
The parade will also include flyovers by military aircraft,main battle tanks, many types of vehicles,bands and marching troops.Additionally,military,elected officials and dignitaries will honor the military service men and women as they pass in review.
Throughout the weekend there will be a  exhibit of military equipment at the adjacent
Del Amo Mall on Friday, Saturday and Sunday with a free concert by the California Army National Guard on Friday 20 May at the James Armstrong Theatre.
