Kieron Williamson, the child artist, who rocked the art world last year, with his superbly executed watercolours, is unveiling his new work, at Delamore Arts Exhibition (www.delamore-art.co.uk) in Cornwood, Devon, which opens May 1 to the public.

Kieron shot to international art fame in 2009 when a simple window display of his work, caught media attention, and made international headlines. Since then, Kieron has achieved 2 further sell-out exhibitions, achieving a waiting list of over 3000 people.

Daybreak, The BBC, This Morning have covered his remarkable work, as well as global TV stations from America to Japan.  Kieron became the subject of a Channel 4 documentary, Child Genius, in Oct 2010.

It is the first time 8 year old Kieron has shown any new work for almost a year. Many of his new works, show a deep love of the West Country, with beautifully painted watercolours of Looe and Polperro inspired by a family holiday in Cornwall.

“Kieron loves the West Country and feels really inspired by it. We had two short trips there last July, but by the October visit, his whole attitude had changed. Instead of dashing off pictures, he spent hours painting views he loved. Before popping off for an ice cream and some fun on the beach of course.” said his mum, Michelle Williamson.

Delamore Arts Exhibition runs throughout the month of May, at Delamore House in the foothills of Dartmoor, and is one of the biggest art and sculpture shows in the South West. The art is hung in grand rooms in the main house. And fine sculptures are displayed the magnificent gardens of the Estate. This year some of the proceeds from the Delamore Art Exhibition will support St Lukes Hospice.

Kieron will exhibit 6 pieces, worth up to £50,000, in a special area of the Gallery. The images are of the West Country and there is even one specially commissioned painting of Delamore House. The top priced piece of work on display will be £4,500.

“We are delighted to welcome a talented young artist like Kieron,” said Delamore Director, Gavin Dollard. “We have been watching his art develop and his new work is sure to amaze and delight visitors to Delamore. Demand is already growing for buyers keen to secure his work.”

“Kieron is very excited about appearing and showing his work in such a beautiful place – especially as some of the proceeds go to a really good charity like St Lukes,” said Michelle.
