Surreal Systems Inc. Project Named Winner of the 2011 Electronic House Best Master Suite Award

May 11, 2011 - PRLog -- With a spectacular design and clever solution-building tactics, Anaheim-based Surreal Systems created a fantastic and comprehensive audio and video system for a Corona Del Mar property on Southern California’s coast. Not only did Surreal Systems win the highest award for the Best Master Suite, they were the only company in their region of Orange County, California to win any award from the Electronic House competition, and one of only a handful of awards handed out in Southern California.
To be considered for the honor, contestants had to submit their project details, equipment list and project photos for consideration.  Electronic House magazine sifted through hundreds of different entries, all featuring innovative audio, video lighting and automation systems, in the end awarding 32 winning installations in 12 different categories.  Electronic House selected the winning entries based upon criteria of technological innovation, creative solutions to challenges and ingenious design elements.
The Best Master Suite category evaluated the entries on their technological innovation, creative solutions to challenges, plus the uses of design elements in the finished product. One of the greatest challenges faced by Surreal Systems owner and president Matt Bernath and his team was installing a 55-inch LED TV in the master bedroom that could be viewed from both the bed and the sitting area, which happened to be perpendicular to each other.
Surreal Systems solved the problem with finesse: with a touch of a button on the Crestron wireless remote, the TV will move on a motorized arm to the correct position for the clients’ viewing pleasure. They also set up the audio to match, so that the correct area is, indeed, surrounded by sound.  But, of course, this alone would not make this master suite an award-winning one. In addition to these entertainment spaces, Surreal Systems installed four zones of iTunes music, a 26-inch TV in the bathroom, and motorized skylight and shade integration for optimal lighting and ocean viewing.
