The STEM Career Fair and Exhibition is the signature event for SEM Link’s Math and Science Career Academy, which exposes K-12 to math and science through hands on activities, real-world applications and career exploration. The purpose of the event is to expose K-12 students to the various careers and applications in these disciplines. The event was set up like a job fair in which students walked around and visited the exhibitors that were there to showcase their careers. “Our career fairs are my favorite SEM Link event because it is the essence of what we do as an organization; connecting kids with STEM professionals to enhance their math and science educational experiences. I’m thankful for our sponsors and the individuals that made time in their busy schedule to expose kids to their careers for without them this event would not be possible.” Founder  and Executive Director Tokiwa Smith said. “I’m also thankful to the parents and guardians that brought their children to the fair  to expose them to STEM.” The career fair sponsors were Georgia Institute of Technology , Eiram Creative, Music for the People Entertainment, Georgia Power Foundation, Georgia Space Grant Consortium, the Coca-Cola Company  African American Technical Network, Phoenix Computer Consultants LLC, BlackGivesBack.com and American Chemical Society-Georgia Local Section.
