Oceanside, CA Artist Barbara Blair Exhibits Art At Via Pointe Resort Services’ New Art Gallery

May 22, 2011 - PRLog -- Via Pointe is the latest Carlsbad business to offer permanent gallery space in support of local artists, in collaboration with Carlsbad Village Association’s Thursdays On The Coast–The Experience.

Barbara Blair, a former interior designer with a special interest in wellness and the effect that environments have on people, likes to create images that provide the viewer with an escape from the stresses of everyday life, and that promote peace of mind.

“Artwork that is joyful, soothing, calming or inspiring has a healing value, and is much needed in today's stressful world,” says Blair. “I love to paint anything to do with the ocean, as being around water has always been very balancing and healing for me, and I think many people respond to it in a similar way.”  

Blair’s coastal, tropical and water themed artwork ranges from light-hearted tropical getaways, whimsical playful images, serene minimal designs in calming colors, to textural mixed media pieces incorporating sand, shells and semi-precious gemstones.

Her paintings, as well as the work of several other participating artists, will be on display and for sale at Via Pointe Resort Services for the duration of Thursdays On The Coast-The Experience that runs through October 2011.  Visitors are invited to stop in any day during business hours to view the exhibit. Via Pointe is located at 300 Carlsbad Village Drive, Suite 213, Carlsbad, CA.
