Simon says to Cheryl: “Make more hits”

June 2, 2011 - PRLog -- Following the roller coaster ride of news, and happenings in the last week involving Cheryl Cole, and her dismissal from X Factor USA, TMZ was able to pry a few words from Simon Cowell concerning what is next for Cheryl Cole.

The 27-year-old Geordie star went from having the prospect of living an American dream to wondering what happened, and how it all went bad, all within just a few days.

After her sacking from X Factor USA, it was thought that Cheryl may return to her "comfort zone" as a judge on X Factor UK. Reportedly, Cheryl wanted double the money to return to the UK version of the show, apparently in compensation for the embarrassing dismissal in America.  Other reports have surfaced claiming that she has snubbed the offer altogether.

Whatever the circumstances surrounding Cheryl's non-appearance this year as a judge for either show, one question occurs in the minds of Cheryl fans, X Factor viewers, and general onlookers - what is next for Cheryl Cole?

Still, there has been no official statement released from any of the parties involved in the Cheryl Cole drama confirming her dismissal, or commenting on any of the recent happenings.

However, TMZ caught up with Simon Cowell recently in London, and asked him the very question mentioned earlier - "What is next for Cheryl Cole?" Simon was sporting a shirt unbuttoned half way down his torso, no doubt causing people to have flashbacks of watching David Hassolhoff  in the 80's TV show Knight Rider. In between blowing puffs of smoke in the direction of paparazzi cameras, about Cheryl, Simon responded "Make more hits".


Many news articles released over the past few days cite sources close to Cheryl as saying she is so upset with Simon Cowell for the X Factor USA debacle that she has cut ties with him altogether, refusing to even take his phone calls. Simon Cowell's flippant response to reporters suggests that this may be true, and that there isn't much of a relationship left between the two.

Whether Simon is correct or not in what Cheryl's next step should be, we'll soon find out, stay tuned for the next chapter in this soap opera.
