Follow on Google News | 2011 Water Quality Report AvailableIrvine Ranch Water District’s annual water quality report is now available online and is being mailed to IRWD customers. The report, called a consumer confidence report (CCR), provides information about water quality.
“As expected, IRWD water is safe to drink and meet state and federal water quality standards,” said John Hills, Director of Water Quality. “We are committed to providing a safe and reliable supply of water.” The report details the quality and safety of tap water provided by IRWD and provides information on the sources of water and testing results for the calendar year 2010 and shows that IRWD tap water continues to be high quality and meets or exceeds the stringent state and federal requirements of the California Department of Public Health and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. This report is required by the federal Safe Drinking Water Act. IRWD distributes the reports to all customers who receive a bill. For those who do not receive a direct IRWD water bill, such as some multi-family residences, employees of local companies, or others who are interested in IRWD water quality, or if you are an apartment manager or representing a homeowners’ association, you can request a free report. Also, anyone who lives or works within the IRWD service area (Irvine, Tustin Ranch, Foothill Ranch, Portola Hills, Santa Ana Heights, Newport Coast, Silverado, Modjeska and Williams canyons, Orange Park Acres and portions of Lake Forest.
